Välkommen till Sörvaer Gjestehus.
Sörvaer är en gemytlig fiskeby som ligger längst ut mot öppet hav på ön Söröya i Finnmark. Här hittar du förhoppningsvis all nödvändig information för att kunna planera ett besök hos oss. Sörvaergjestehus erbjuder livskvalitet och förverkligar fiske och naturintresserade människors drömmar. Här får du vistas i en fantastisk miljö med en utsikt och ett fågelliv som slår det mesta. Vi erbjuder såväl havsfiske av högsta klass som jakt på småvilt och fågel. Även fjällfiske i någon av alla vattendrag på ön kan erbjuda magiska stunder. Här vandrar man “går på tur” och man plockar bär på fjällsidorna ex. Det gula guldet – Hjortron. Norrsken upphör aldrig att fascinera och detta magiska fenomen kan man uppleva mellan september och april. Naturligtvis bor och äter du bra hos oss på Sörvaer Gjestehus.

New October weeks for booking 2021!

The great fishing that took place in October this year has created increased demand for fishing trips to Sörvaer Gjestehus in 2021. Because of that, we have chosen to open up a few more bookable weeks. We offer both standard concepts with weekly trips, but also shorter and longer stays on request. It is also possible to book guided trips. The chance to experience different kinds of whales is good, killer whales and humpback whales have been seen in 2020. In addition to fishing, there is a jacuzzi and sauna as an evening activity and if the weather conditions are right, it can be enjoyed in the northern lights! Dinner and something good to drink in the pub is another nice option.
The weather during October 2020 has been stable, which has meant that we have been able to go on several long trips to exciting fishing areas. Halibut fishing has been crazily good, with three fish over 180 cm and many others large fish. One group landed a total of 78 halibuts during just 3.5 days of fishing. In addition, fishing near land, around Breigrund and Grunnbakk has been very good with large quantities of large cod and coalfish. The largest cod have been as much as 27 kg and 25 kg, with several over 20 kg and lots of fish for the dinner table 5 – 15 kg. Plaice fishing has also been good with several 2kg + fish caught near the camp, fun fishing and wonderful fish to eat.
Simply a perfect way to recharge your batteries and quench your fishing cravings for the approaching winter! Not least, is it a suitable activity to take the family on, or why not a company / team building trip?
